What is PAS?

In order to contribute to the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) strategy, a global agenda was adopted during the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development in September 2015, and comprises 17 goals and 169 goals to be achieved by 2030.

This agenda includes global actions in the areas of poverty eradication, food security, agriculture, health, education, gender equality, reduction of inequality, energy, water and sanitation, sustainable patterns of production and consumption, among others.

Corporate Garden

A fIn order to promote healthy eating, why not start from cultivation? With this in mind and also to increase the interaction between man and nature, one of Angelus' first actions is the construction of greenhouses for the organic cultivation of vegetables.

For this action, we have a partnership with the Junior Agronomy Enterprise (CONSOAGRO), responsible for designing the greenhouse, choosing the plants and training an Angelus employee who will be responsible for taking care of the gardens. In addition to taking care of the food, a landscaping project will also be developed around the greenhouse.

Part of the production of this garden will be destined to supply daily care centers that serve the population in need.

The inspiration for this action was based on the following SDGs, namely:

  • SDG 2: hunger and sustainable agriculture;
  • SDG 3: health and well-being;
  • SDG 11: sustainable cities and communities;
  • SDG 12: responsible consumption and production;
  • SDG 17: partnerships and means of implementation.

Sustainable Mugs

Goodbye to disposable plastic cups! We have completely eliminated the disposable plastic cups inside Angelus, which have been replaced by stylized and reusable ceramic mugs.

Disposable plastic cups, which have petroleum as a raw material, take between 200 to 400 years to decompose and are generally sent to landfills or inappropriately dumped in dumps (there are still many in Brazil, can you believe it?!).

Therefore, this initiative aims to raise everyone's attention, both internally and externally, on the need to contribute to the planet's life through simple attitudes that significantly impact the environment.

With the adoption of a reusable mug, we will reduce the consumption cycle of plastic cups, generate less waste and even improve health.

The inspiration for this action is the SDG 12 (ensure sustainable production and consumption patterns)..

Adoption of a day care center for the ones in need

Angelus, through PAS, adopted the Guiomar Moreira Day Care, which serves more than 80 low-class children. We are working on the renovation of the Day Care Center to increase its service capacity, as well as carrying out campaigns to help in various sectors of the ones in need Clothing Campaign, Children's Day Campaign, Targeting part of the production of its garden, among other projects that will come).

The inspiration for this action was based on the following SDGs, namely:

  • SDG 1: Eradicating poverty: ending poverty in all its forms, everywhere;
  • SDG 2: Zero Hunger and Sustainable Agriculture: Ending hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition, and promoting sustainable agriculture;
  • ODES 3: Good Health and Well-Being: ensuring a healthy life and promoting well-being for everyone, at all ages;
  • SDG 4: Quality education: ensuring inclusive, equitable and quality education, and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Chocolate Donation

The children of Guiomar Moreira Daycare center received chocolate during a voluntary initiative by Angelus employees on Easter this year. The collection of chocolate was carried out throughout the month by employees and on the delivery day we even sent an Easter bunny! This surprise ensured more fun and unforgettable moments for the more than 60 children at the daycare.
